AEON BiG is seeking a graphic designer to create visually appealing graphics that enhance branding, promotions, and customer engagement across in-store communications, promotion catalogues, digital postings, and other platforms.
General Design Work
- Conceptualise and develop visually appealing design solutions to meet project objectives and align with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, to interpret project requirements and translate them into effective visual communication.
- Utilise industry-standard design software to create a wide range of assets, including marketing materials, presentations, mastheads, logos and digital content.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of design guidelines to ensure consistent brand representation.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions and strategy discussions to enhance the overall creative output of the team.
- Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs to achieve the desired outcome.
- Design simple animations that create engaging visual stories.
Promotional Material
Liaise with Promotion and Design Manager / Marketing Manager with regards to all promotional-related matters.Design promotional material within reasonably agreed timeline, including :In-store POSM material such as posters, bus-stops, light box, etc.Address any ad-hoc changes on pricing, layout and correction of any errors.Conceptualise, design and develop new promotion campaigns visual direction.Digital Content
Conceptualise and develop visually engaging digital assets for various online platforms, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and digital advertising.Collaborate with web developers to implement and refine design elements within digital interfaces, ensuring a cohesive and responsive design.Adapt and optimise graphics for various screen sizes and resolutions, considering responsive design principles.Design and execute compelling multimedia content, such as animations, GIFs, and interactive elements, to enhance user engagement.Creativity : The ability to generate original ideas and visually communicate concepts effectively.Graphic Design Software Proficiency : Mastery of design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or other relevant software.Understanding of Branding : Familiarity with branding principles and the ability to create designs that align with and reinforce brand identity.Layout and Composition : Skill in arranging visual elements within a design to create a balanced and aesthetically pleasing composition.Typography Skills : Understanding of typography principles and the ability to use fonts effectively in design.Drawing Skills : Ability to hand draw or sketch original concepts (illustrations, icons, or visual elements) is a strong bonusColour Theory : Knowledge of colour principles and the ability to use colour effectively to convey messages and evoke emotions.Digital Media Knowledge : Understanding of digital design for various platforms, including web and social media.Attention to Detail : Precision and accuracy in all aspects of design work, from pixel-level details to overall layout.Time Management : Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Adaptability : Flexibility to adapt to evolving design trends, technologies, and project requirements.Communication Skills : Ability to articulate design concepts and decisions and effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.Collaboration : Ability to work effectively in a team, take constructive feedback, and contribute to a collaborative process.Qualification & Education
Diploma / Degree in Art / Design / Creative Multimedia or a related field.2 years’ experience working in related field for this position.Proficient in using design tools and design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Graphic App.Video editing and simple animation skills will be an added advantage.Prior experience in retail and / or packaging design will be an advantage.Computer Literacy Skills
Proficient in using design tools and design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Graphic App.Additional editing tools (Premiere Pro, CapCut or similar).Microsoft Office applications.Language Skills
Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (written and spoken).Basic understanding of Mandarin will be an added advantage (written and spoken).Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.Able to work during off days, rest days or public holidays on occasions when required.Seniority level
