Title : Compounding Pharmacist Location : Subang Jaya
Overview :
Our client is registered with the Ministry of Health Malaysia and is the only compounding pharmacy in Malaysia that is a member of the Professional Compounding Chemist of Australia (PCCA). They specialize in custom made medications with the aim of fulfilling the unmet medical needs of patients who do not respond well to standardised products.
Responsibilities :
- Ensures that the daily workload of prescription orders and compounded preparations are verified for accuracy and quality in a timely manner to ensure they are delivered / shipped on schedule.
- Reviews order list and creates daily workload, identifies “Add-on” orders and adds them to workload while matching compounded products against outgoing orders.
- Handles inbound / outbound phone calls that include taking new verbal prescriptions as well as calling for clarifications on prescriptions when necessary.
- Performs a final check of prescriptions, ensuring all auxiliary items are included in the order.
- Conducts drug utilization reviews and drug interaction checks on all orders.
- Demonstrates accurate and effective use of current pharmacy software programs.
- Follows workflow protocol regarding the correction of prescription and order errors.
- Counsel’s patients and prescribers on medications, therapeutic recommendations, pharmaceutical compounding and other topics, and can quickly locate and utilize necessary reference materials when needed.
- Takes ownership of pharmacy problems and challenges, and sees them through to resolution.
- Ensures all raw materials are stored under appropriate storage conditions. Identifies medications and other items for reorder as necessary to maintain a continuous inventory of medications and supplies. Receives, checks-in, and restocks medications ordered through wholesaler and other vendors. Assesses practical ways to deal with shorted items and short-dated or unusable items.
- Ensure compliance with company practice, policies and procedures.

Requirements :
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree or higherin Pharmacy or Pharmacology or equivalent.Ideally a fully Registered Pharmacist under Malaysia Pharmaceutical Board.Pharmacy practice experience and knowledge of general pharmacy regulations required.Someone with strong interpersonal & communication skills.Proficiency in Windows, including Ms Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint.Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.Able to successfully prioritize and manage a wide variety of critical and / or time-sensitive job duties.Required language(s) : English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia.Strong organizational skills and detail oriented, focus on efficiency and accuracy.Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
