Job descriptionCompute the internal, regulatory, and rating agency adequacy ratio Update the relevant reports, presentation deck and other materials Produce the liability profile for the investment department to match its assets profile Update the relevant reports, presentation deck and other materials Assist the Head of Department in minor day‑to‑day administration of the department, such as task tracking, dissemination of ERM memo, etc. Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science Currently pursuing professional Associate Actuarial qualification with at least 75% on completion. Relevant 5 years experience in the General Insurance industry in Reserving / Capital Describe, analyse, and validate the information requirements for estimating unpaid claims Build and analyse claim development triangles Construct and appraise unpaid claims estimates using basic techniques Assess the influence of operating changes on the estimation of unpaid claims Adjust data and / or estimation techniques for changes in internal and external environment Appraise and validate the results of the estimation process for adequacy and reasonableness Simple data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL)
Deputy Manager – Actuarial – Reserving & Capital
- Data preparation for actuarial reserves modelling
- Perform initial selection of IBNR
- Set initial assumptions for modelling, for example risk margins, expense load and large loss
- Draft the actuarial report and prepare the relevant presentation deck
- Review and improve the data extraction, transformation and load (ETL) process
