Semi Senior Auditor – Hitachi Digital
We’re Hitachi Digital, a division at the forefront of digital transformation within the Hitachi Group. Our Internal Audit Department performs assurance services for the Audit Committee and delivers process‑improvement consulting engagements worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Support a variety of audits and consulting engagements, including process reviews, data analysis, J‑SOX activities, country audits, operational reviews, and system implementation reviews.
- Prepare quality work papers and deliverables timely and professionally to document testing clearly, support conclusions and communicate findings to the Audit lead or in‑charge in accordance with our audit methodology.
- Exercise critical thinking and judgment when evaluating the business impact and significance of audit findings, identifying mitigating controls and other factors to assess residual risks.
- Complete allocated J‑SOX tasks on time, ensuring testing status progresses; report any obstacles to the audit lead promptly.
- Work on multiple priorities and projects for on‑time delivery, proactively providing status updates of all activities to Internal Audit management and relevant business stakeholders.
- Provide support for audit projects—partner audits, country audits, and compliance activities—and assist in special assignments by analyzing data sets and interpreting analysis results.
- Interact with all team members in the global IA department, business functions, relevant staff, external audit teams (for J‑SOX), and contacts in the Internal Controls & Finance Department.
Qualifications
Minimum 2–4+ years of audit (internal / external) experience or accounting firm consulting / advisory experience; Big 4 background is desirable for a Semi‑Senior Auditor position.Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or CPA / CA (equivalent).Moderate level understanding and experience in SOX or J‑SOX compliance, including internal control, documentation, and testing; independent walkthrough experience required.Ability to work independently and effectively with limited support; experience leading projects, strong time management and organizational skills; shared service center experience desirable.Professional image and strong relationship‑building skills with key stakeholders.“Out‑of‑the‑box” thinker with strong analytical skills, adaptable to changing work environments, priorities, and deadlines.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Flexible to accommodate working with a global workforce; no passport / visa restrictions to travel.Benefits & How We Look After You
