Responsibilities
- Craft a comprehensive global social media strategy that aligns with the overall brand and marketing objectives.
- Manage and optimize the brand's presence across key platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube).
- Amplify existing content across platforms in the right formats, and create new types of engaging, insight-led content.
- Govern page administration, ownership and various levels of rights for all users (agencies, team members, editors, schedulers).
- Research current social media trends, platform algorithm updates, and audience preferences to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and direction to in-country teams on best practices, what is trending and how to create content that works on each platform, including hyperlocal examples.
- Collaborate with local teams on content strategy and ideation on a regular basis and during critical marketing events.
- Maximise data and insights from social media tools.
- Monitor performance of all pages as well as competitor social channels to identify opportunities to differentiate the brand.
- Derive monthly insights from social listening reports to protect the brand, pre-empt or resolve issues and activate relevant communications.
- Provide input for social media style guides, visual templates and assets to create a uniform brand experience for global and country channels.
- Collaborate with local social media managers or teams to adopt best practices to maintain brand voice and visual identity.
- Manage social media agencies globally to ensure scope of work, budgets and delivery timelines are on track.
- Plan and manage content for global and country pages in close collaboration with agencies, and select markets (without agency).
- Activate KOL partnerships or collaborations if required.
- Manage the social media team as a centre of excellence and drive results with global teams.
- Demonstrate and inspire passion for content, page performance, follower growth and engagement amongst global teams.
Qualifications
8+ years of social media experience, including 3+ years leading regional or global accounts.Proven success in driving multi-market social strategies that deliver measurable results.Deep knowledge of social trends, analytics, and platform algorithms.Strong creative judgment — you know what makes content scroll-stopping.Collaborative, data-driven, and endlessly curious about what’s next in digital culture.Seniority level
