Lecturer, Faculty of Safety and Health

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer to join the Faculty of Safety and Health at the University of Cyberjaya. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching, supervising students, contributing to research, and engaging with industry to ensure the relevance of the curriculum. This is a full-time academic position requiring strong subject expertise, a passion for teaching, and a solid research background Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning Deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in safety and health-related subjects (e.g., Occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene, Risk Management, Ergonomics, Fire Safety and etc.). Develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements. Supervise student projects, dissertations, and internships. Employ innovative teaching methodologies, including e-learning and simulation-based training. Conduct and publish research in safety and health disciplines. Participate in academic conferences and professional workshops. Contribute to the faculty’s research strategy and knowledge exchange initiatives. Administrative & Professional Duties Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation processes. Engage with industry stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and student employability. Mentor students and provide academic guidance. Ensure compliance with university policies and health & safety regulations. Skills and Experiences

AMaster’s degreeor (PhD preferred) in Occupational Safety & Health Prior teaching experience at the tertiary level. Strong research background with publications in relevant fields. Industry experience in safety and health. Experience with online / blended learning platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to engage students through interactive and applied learning. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Commitment to continuous professional development. Collaborative mindset with industry and academic partners.
