Piping Stress Engineer

Location : Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Tenure : 1 year fixed term contract (Renewable subject to performance and requirement)

Salary : Open for discussion

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Job Specification for Stress Analysis.
• Prepare, review and / or check list of critical lines.
• Prepare and check Stress Calculation Notes.
• Perform selection of pipe support types.
• Ensure that all piping systems are adequately supported and where necessary, specify spring sliding plates and other special pipe supports.
• Liaise with and / or advise the Piping Designer of the pipe routing to achieve the requirements of a satisfactory pipe stress analysis.
• Coordinate and / or prepare pipe support loading sheets for Civil / Structural design.
• Coordinate with Process and Mechanical disciplines to determine Process data and any special Process requirements or equipment operation modes.
• Manage and / or prepare specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations / tabulations.
• Liaise with Mechanical Engineers for all matters concerning nozzle loads on equipment.
• Supervise a pool of stress engineers and conduct piping stress checks.
• Prepare and manage a schedule for piping stress analysis engineering activities and deliverables.
