We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Group Risk Management team as Head, Asset & Liability Management Risk Reporting & Governance at RHB Banking Group. This strategic role is responsible for overseeing Asset & Liability Management (ALM) risk reporting and governance across the Group, including regional branches and subsidiaries. You will lead efforts in monitoring balance sheet risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving effective risk governance frameworks that support sound decision‑making and sustainable growth.
What you will be doing
- Manage, monitor, and report balance sheet risks, including interest rate risk in the banking book and liquidity risk across RHB Banking Group and regional entities
- Review and monitor behavioural models and assumptions used in ALM risk reports
- Analyse asset and liability mismatches and exposures, proposing action plans where necessary
- Ensure timely and accurate internal and external ALM risk reporting, including regulatory submissions
- Review risk reports and provide insightful commentaries for senior management meetings
- Support and manage successful implementation of ALM‑related projects
- Conduct ALM risk assessments for new or modified products
- Supervise regional offices on policy interpretation and provide qualitative analysis of risk exposures
- Support key committees (GALCO, GCRC, GRMC, IRMC, BRC, BOD) with liquidity risk reporting and benchmarking
- Develop, maintain, and review ALM risk management frameworks, policies, methodologies, guidelines, and operational manuals
- Ensure consistent application of risk governance across Head Office and regional operations
- Advise regional offices on internal and regulatory guidelines to ensure alignment and consistency
- Establish and review operational manuals related to risk governance and measurement
- Ensure timely resolution and compliance with internal / external audit findings for improved governance and efficiency
