Job Summary :
A Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and upkeep of building facilities, equipment, and systems. This position ensures that electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, and structural components are safe, functioning properly, and comply with regulations.
Primary Responsibilities :
Perform routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, painting, etc.).
Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergencies.
Diagnose and repair minor electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems.
Supervise the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
Maintain records of maintenance work, repairs, and supplies used.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Assist with facility setup for company events or tenant needs.
Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.
Qualifications and Skills :
High school diploma, technical certificate, or equivalent.
3 years of experience.
Proficient in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Requirements :
Full-time, on-site work.
May require occasional evening, weekend, or shift work.
Work involves both indoor and outdoor environments.
