Associate - Assurance (PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur)

In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion.

Associate’s Role in PwC’s Core Assurance Services

  • Participate in all phases of a financial statement audit and audit of internal controls.
  • Participate in a wide range of projects; consistently demonstrating creative thinking and individual initiative.
  • Demonstrate teamwork dynamics through working as a team member.
  • Identify and address client needs.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in prioritising and completing tasks while exercising professional skepticism.

    • Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrate some knowledge and / or a proven record of success in financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems including generally accepted accounting principles and current accounting policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate some abilities and / or a proven record of success in researching and analysing pertinent client, industry, and technical matters.
  • Utilise problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
  • Interact with various levels of leadership (client and / or team‑based) in both written and verbal form.
  • Be self‑motivating, and take responsibility for personal growth and development.

    • Requirements

  • Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
  • Preferred qualification : Chartered Accountant or equivalent (such as ICAEW / ACCA / MICPA‑CAANZ / CPA Australia / US CPA).
  • Minimum years of experience : Fresh graduate.
  • Oral and written proficiency in English required.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and client servicing skills.
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written English.
