The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for managing key accounts and developing and maintaining long term relationships with key clients. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the sales pipeline, leading deals through to delivery, and managing tenders and opportunities in the Singapore region.
About the Role
As a strategic thinker and passionate Sales Manager with aviation background, your customer engagement along with strong business acumen and the ability to lead solution development and tender submissions is key to this opportunity. You have a strong focus on sales and relationship development, the role will drive revenue to meet the business strategy.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Work closely with the General Manager Sales Aviation Southeast Asia with a focus on commercial performance, building a strong platform to enable revenue growth, profitability and successful delivered projects and long-term customer relationships
- Drive sales strategies and activities to achieve revenue targets across Singapore with a focus on Baggage Handling Systems, self-service and digital solutions
- Act as a responsible party for all deals and tenders within the specified Sales geography
- Acting as the primary commercial subject matter expert, cultivate strong and transparent working relationships with key customers
- Negotiate contracts and maintain key customer contacts at senior level
- Actively lead and successfully convert high-quality deals, key bids and tenders driving success in airport sales
- Take the lead responsibility for the engagement or internal stakeholders as part of the solution development process, along with the generation, submission and quality of proposals for tenders led
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organisation
- Ensure regular engagement with project delivery teams to drive continuous improvement associated with the accuracy and quality of bids
Skills & Experience

The ideal qualifications and experience include :
- A Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or related field
- Experience in industrial automation or airport / airline environments, deep knowledge of airport baggage handling systems
- Ability to analyse client needs, Daifuku’s capabilities and the competitive landscape to make informed decisions that drive both client satisfaction and company profitability
- Senior operational and strategic management exposure, thinking beyond the immediate sales to both the client’s and Daifuku’s strategic growth
- Strong understanding of the APAC market and global airport industry
- Ability to manage deals and tenders, with experience leading large and complex deal teams
- Excellent coalition building skills with an ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Client centric focus, understand client challenges and objectives guiding to the best possible solutions
- Need a strong grasp of business dynamics, including financial considerations and market trends
- Persuasive negotiator able to achieve consensus amongst differing opinions
- Excellent planning, manage concurrent opportunities and adhering to deadlines
- Technical and design knowledge of BHS and ICS systems will be beneficial
