Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Mod.Engr Consultant' in Ipoh, Perak. As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of innovative civil and structural engineering solutions for our clients. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers in the design team
  • Designing and developing complex civil and structural engineering systems, including buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects
  • Conducting detailed structural analyses, using advanced modelling and simulation tools
  • Collaborating with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Identifying and implementing innovative design solutions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Contributing to the development of company-wide engineering processes and best practices

What we\'re looking for

  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in civil and structural engineering design, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm
  • Proven track record of leading the design and delivery of complex engineering projects
  • Expertise in the use of industry-standard design software, such as STAAD, ETABS, and AutoCAD
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in the civil and structural engineering industry
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Technologist (TS)
