Shift Manager - Packaging & Dry Mix

Overview

Assist the Head of Production - Packaging in overseeing packaging operations, manage manpower and equipment to meet production schedules and quality targets, optimize efficiency, train and develop staff, ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards, prepare reports, and collaborate with the Supply Chain, Quality and Maintenance Department to ensure smooth production operations.

Job Responsibilities

Operational Oversight

Help the Head of Production - Packaging with day-to-day operations to meet production schedules, maintain quality standards and reduce waste in the production process.

Control and organize manpower and machinery effectively to optimize production.

Staff Training and Development

Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) and hands-on training (HOTO) for operators to ensure proper work methods are followed.

Develop and motivate staff to meet high performance and quality standards.

Safety and Quality Assurance

Ensure that safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards are adhered to consistently in the production area.

Reporting and Coordination

Prepare reports and work procedures.

Coordinate with the Supply Chain, Quality and Maintenance Departments to streamline day to day operations.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

Degree or diploma in Food Technology, Food Science or Engineering.

At least 2 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Skills and Attributes

Ability to work on rotating shifts.

Proactive, resourceful, and good analytical skills.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team.

Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office is advantageous.

Knowledge of GMP, FSSC, HACCP, and ISO standards is advantageous.
