Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer (Mid–Senior Level) with 2–5 years of professional experience in building and maintaining data pipelines and working with cloud services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in SQL, experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and the ability to develop and optimize scalable data solutions. Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, knowledge of CI / CD practices, and expertise in data ingestion into data marts to support analytics, reporting, and advanced data use cases are highly desirable.

Responsibilities :

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL / ELT pipelines for large-scale data processing.
  • Design and implement efficient data ingestion strategies from diverse sources into data marts to support business intelligence and reporting needs.
  • Work with AWS Services (S3, Lambda, Redshift, RDS) to store, process, and transform data.
  • Write optimized SQL queries for extraction, transformation, and analytics.
  • Develop and manage DAGs (Directed Acyclic Graphs) in Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance to ensure data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, align data engineering initiatives with strategic objectives and ensure data is accurate, accessible, and secure.
  • Implement CI / CD pipelines to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring of data workflows.
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval strategies for performance and scalability.
  • Maintain data integrity and compliance with data governance policies.
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architectures (e.g., medallion architecture, dimensional modelling).
  • Own end-to-end data solutions, ensuring business outcomes are delivered.
  • Define and enforce data governance, data quality, orchestration (Airflow), and CI / CD practices.
  • Mentor mid-level engineers and conduct technical reviews.
  • Drive cost optimization and performance improvements across data platforms.

Requirements :

  • 2-5 years of hands‑on experience in data engineering or related fields.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL, etc.)
  • Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services (S3, Redshift, Lambda, RDS).
  • Practical experience with Apache Airflow.
  • Solid experience in data ingestion, transformation, and warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools and practices (Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Understanding of ETL / ELT processes, data pipeline frameworks, and Medallion Architecture (tiered architecture).
  • Proficiency in Python or another scripting language.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Good understanding of data security and governance best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

    • Preferred Skills :

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Knowledge of big data frameworks (Spark, Hadoop).
  • Experience working with CI / CD pipelines in data engineering environments.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modelling and star / snowflake schema for data marts.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience in GCP Big Query is a plus advantage.
  • (Senior Level) : Proven experience in solution design, leading data projects, or mentoring engineers.
