Property & Casualty Actuarial Consultant (Pricing & Emblem / REA / Radar Specialist) – Talent Pool for 2026 Hiring
Location : WTW Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Note : Role is part of the talent pipeline for early 2026 hiring; engagement with strong candidates may begin immediately and interviews may occur prior to formal start date.
Description
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of a variety of pricing, predictive analytics and data science projects, supporting client engagements relating to Emblem / Radar Enhanced Analytics (REA) / Radar solutions, and supporting the development of the P&C Product, Pricing, Claim and Underwriting (PPCU) proposition across South East Asia (SEA). You will also act as the Radar / Emblem technical SME in the region.
Beyond PPCU, you may be involved in other broader P&C projects including reserve valuation, RBC, IFRS 17 as well as M&As for our P&C clients across South East Asia. Many projects will involve using WTW’s market-leading actuarial software and techniques to produce customised solutions for our clients. In addition to project delivery, you will be responsible for client communication, project management, and business development / proposition development activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead as the workstream lead / project manager for PPCU projects and serve as the primary day-to-day client contact for project delivery, ensuring progress against scope, budget, timeline, deliverables and quality standards
- Support PPCU and Claims / Data Science proposition development and go-to-market activities in SEA
- Assist on sales and marketing efforts, including proposals, Radar / Emblem demos, software trials, POCs, presentations and pitches
- Deliver projects to meet or exceed client expectations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary consulting team to develop value-added solutions
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with client contacts through effective communication and high-quality execution
- Meet billable hours targets
- Manage project budgets and plans efficiently
- Build strong internal relationships and collaborate on cross-functional teams
- Mentor junior team members
- Deliver high-quality work in compliance with Excellence standards
- Manage time effectively between multiple concurrent assignments
- Contribute to continuous improvement and promote innovation to drive new ideas, services, offerings and propositions
Qualifications
Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative fieldMin. 5–10 years of general insurance experience with at least 5 years in general insurance pricing (especially Motor / personal lines)Strong technical expertise with WTW’s Radar software (e.g., Emblem, REA, Radar Base, Radar Live) is a prerequisiteStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsProgress with actuarial exams from recognised international actuarial bodiesGood understanding of general insurance landscape, regulations, and market trends in the regionProven experience managing multiple projects and delivering quality results on time and within budgetSelf-driven with ability to work independentlyGood time management and ability to handle multiple concurrent projectsBroad understanding of IFRS 17, reserving, M&A and / or pricingEqual Opportunity
