Lead, Business Performance & Analyst (BP&A) - OCBC
Role : Lead, Business Performance & Analyst (BP&A) within Consumer Financial Services (CFS) business. The role provides Business Financial Insights and control oversight to the Malaysia CFS Leadership Team, driving performance from a customer segment and product perspective through strategic insights and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Performance Reporting : Prepare regular financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate financial performance to senior management and key stakeholders. Analyze and interpret financial data to provide meaningful insights and explanations for variances and trends, including quarterly competitor performance benchmarking.
- Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management : Partner with business teams to drive growth strategies across products, segments and channels (e.g., pricing framework, segment strategies, cross-referrals). Build strong relationships and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Financial Planning and Forecasting : Develop financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with departments and senior management. Analyze historical data, market trends, and drivers to prepare forward-looking analysis and timely support on all performance matters, including annual operating plan and ICAAP / MAS stress tests.
- Financial Analysis : Conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Analyze KPIs, financial ratios, and other metrics to provide insights and recommendations for decision-making.
- Cost Analysis and Control : Review costs to identify inefficiencies and recommend savings. Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor monthly cost performance and support cost management initiatives.
- Strategic Planning Support : Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning, track progress of initiatives, highlight risks and opportunities, and recommend actions where appropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline – Finance / Accounting / Economics / Banking with at least 10 years of related experiencePrior experience in people management is an assetStrong commercial judgment, professional maturity and results orientationGood interpersonal, written and communication skillsResilient, able to multi-task and work under pressureStrong stakeholder management and ability to influence across levels of senioritySound technical skills – MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, Power BI, QlikView; programming knowledge an advantageExperience delivering presentations to senior stakeholdersExperience as a finance professional in a Bank or Financial Institution FP&A capacity preferredWhat We Offer
