Job Summary
Supply Chain Management (SCM) is responsible for the overall commercial and risk management with the bank’s external third‑party vendors. To meet increasing business demands, the SCM team seeks a candidate with strong experience in sourcing / procurement, specific expertise in driving category strategy and management, and the gravitas to engage stakeholders within SCB business functions to support key priorities.
The successful candidate will influence and execute sourcing activities in collaboration with various business functions and support teams, demonstrate excellence in negotiating favourable commercial outcomes based on agreed strategy, and deliver the benefits and reporting tracking for the Procure‑to‑Pay transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with business function leads to produce a needs assessment aligned to their business plans.
- Feed into the category management strategy focused on supplier cost reduction through needs assessments, consolidation and expense / demand management.
- Perform the role within the operating model.
- Execute sourcing strategies to ensure cost‑effectiveness and quality of supply.
- Collaborate with category teams to align preferred channels and suppliers.
- Manage Wealth Retail Banking pipeline and workload.
- Maintain engagement-level stakeholder relationships to advise and guide stakeholders through the Source‑to‑Contract (S2C) process, maintaining ongoing relationships with the Global sourcing team.
- Guide Business Stakeholders through the procurement decision‑making process.
- Create and build function‑level senior management stakeholder relationships, influence on‑the‑ground decision making to ensure sourcing complies with standards, and act as an escalation point for problem solving.
- Communicate the intrinsic business value of the Supply Chain Management category management framework to the business.
- Provide guidance on Supply Chain Management systems, policies and procedures.
- Assist stakeholders in achieving strategic objectives through careful sourcing of relevant suppliers to fulfil their needs.
- Identify and mitigate risks that could impact overall project success or failure.
- Ensure projects are prioritised and delivered against agreed timelines.
- Support, lead and execute sourcing initiatives.
- Implement regular category workflow reviews to ensure all stakeholder requests are owned.
- Influence buying decisions.
- Lead complex deal negotiations including outsourcing, where the inherent risk is medium to high.
- Manage complex competitive sourcing tenders with estimated deal values of USD 1M to 2.5M without supervision.
- Create cost efficiencies and support expense line management by directly mapping savings to the GL.
- Influence internal and third‑party decisioning regarding contract completion, brokering parties to reach agreement, and discussing strengths and weaknesses of the agreement as applies to commercial elements.
- Lead contractual negotiation with suppliers, accurately interpret contractual terms into risks, and support resolution of contractual blockages through to completion.
- Carry out effective negotiations and contracting to contribute sustainable commercial advantages and best‑in‑class terms.
- Meet or exceed savings targets.
- Work in a highly effective SCM team delivering commercial agreements that exceed stakeholder and client expectations.
- Keep open communication channels to ensure high engagement levels.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist effective governance and controls for the eAuction engagement process.
- Support the business functional vendor management teams in day‑2 supplier matters.
- Operate in compliance with mandated sourcing processes, policies and procedures.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with 5 years’ experience in Procurement eAuction practice.Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to work effectively with peers and senior stakeholders across multiple regions.Agile and comfortable dealing with complex datasets.Effective verbal and written presentation and exceptional communication skills.Strong project management and problem‑solving skills.Self‑starter and resilient.Strong cognitive ability to design meaningful dashboards to drive key management decisions.Specialised Knowledge or Skills Required
Familiar with ERP systems such as SAP, Ariba.
Language Proficiency Key Requirement
English and Korean (to serve the Korean market).Vietnamese / Thai language skills are a significant advantage.Skills and Experience
