Job Description & Summary
- To assist existing and new clients' expansion plans and M&A strategy, focusing on commercial due diligence, business plan review and market entry assessment.
- To support in the role of executing local and cross-border transactions – with direct hands-on exposure to structuring acquisitions, joint ventures, divestments, and capital raising.
- Execute with the team live transactions for inbound and outbound investments for strategic / financial investors, provide advice to emerging companies seeking growth capital and shareholders seeking to realise value through financial restructuring and divestment.
- To prepare and conduct valuation of target companies by using various valuation methodologies, where applicable. This will include preparing feasibility studies, conduct strategic assessments and pricing of targets including potential deal synergies.
- To prepare high calibre marketing pitches and assume a support role in deal origination.
- To evaluate different M&A structures and formulate schemes for corporate proposals & financial modelling including pre & post business model, cashflows, profit & loss and balance sheets, financial impact to the group results.
- To assist in preparing transactional and / or funding and capital raising proposal.
- To coordinate activities with internal cross-functional teams and relevant professional parties and authorities including investment bankers, lawyers, company secretaries, auditors and tax advisors.
Qualifications & Experience
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree from Commonwealth Universities and / or equivalent professional qualifications (ACCA,CFA,CPA ICAEW,MBA)Minimum 2 years of working experience in investment bank or Big Eight Audit firms.Good understanding of Malaysia and ASEAN corporate legislation i.e. relevant legal, financial and regulatory requirement applicable to investment bankProficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word)Fluent in both spoken and written English. Additional languages would be a bonusGood analytical and problem-solving skillsTenacity to work under pressure and within tight deadlinesCandidates joining our specialised team would gain extra points having exposure in the following areas :
