Job descriptionBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent are an advantage. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or trading environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, MFRS, and Malaysian tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, AutoCount) and Microsoft Excel. High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and lead a small team Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Fixed Assets.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
- Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow, manage company budgets, and support forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including tax submissions (SST, corporate tax, PCB, EPF, SOCSO).
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights for management decision-making.
- Assist in process improvement, internal control implementation, and cost control initiatives.
- Supervise junior accounting staff .
