Safety and Health Officer

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor company‑wide safety and health policies to ensure they comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site and equipment inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses, determine root causes, and write reports with recommendations for prevention.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs and seminars for employees and management to promote safe practices.
• Ensure that all safety and health practices are in accordance with company and government mandates.
• Implement programs and initiatives to actively promote safety and health within the organization.
• Plan and conduct regular emergency exercises to ensure all employees are aware of their roles and response procedures.
• Perform the duties of Safety and Health Officer as stipulated in Regulation 18 of the Safety and Health (Safety and Health Officers) Regulations 1997.
