Role Overview
The Community & Wellness Officer plays a central role in creating a welcoming, engaging, and healthy living environment for senior residents. This multi-functional role blends
reception, concierge, tours, sales, resident well-being, and nutrition & wellness
to ensure residents and their families enjoy a seamless lifestyle experience within Malaysia's first resort-style senior living community.
Key Responsibilities
Reception & Concierge
- Serve as the front-line ambassador, welcoming residents, families, and visitors.
- Manage phone, email, and in-person inquiries with professionalism and care.
- Provide concierge services, including booking transport, arranging activities, and external service coordination.
Tours & Engagement
Conduct guided tours of Sukha facilities for prospective residents and families.Present resident's living options, services, and amenities clearly and persuasively.Collect resident / visitor feedback to continuously improve the community experience.Sales & Community Development
Support the sales team in converting inquiries into confirmed move-ins.Organize and participate in open houses, wellness events, and resident programs.Maintain strong resident and family relationships to build trust and advocacy.Resident Well-Being Support
Act as a liaison between residents, caregivers, and management for any concerns.Encourage participation in resident's lifestyle and wellness activities.Suggest new initiatives to enhance engagement, comfort, and overall satisfaction.Nutrition & Wellness
Nutrition Planning & Guidance
Assess residents' dietary needs, considering health conditions (diabetes, hypertension, dementia, etc.).Develop personalized nutrition plans and provide advice to residents and families.Conduct workshops and talks on healthy eating, cooking, and lifestyle habits.Menu Development & Culinary Support
Collaborate with chefs to design balanced, appealing, and culturally diverse menus.Innovate senior-friendly recipes that are nutritious, easy to chew / digest, and flavorful.Introduce seasonal, festive, and theme-based menus aligned with residents' dining philosophy.Food Safety & Quality
Oversee food hygiene, portioning, plating, and service standards.Support procurement in sourcing fresh, sustainable, and high-quality ingredients.Provide training to kitchen staff on senior-friendly cooking methods.Cross-Functional Engagement
Work with care team, doctors, and therapists to align diets with medical needs.Participate in residents' wellness programs and contribute to marketing (e.g., blogs, workshops).Advocate nutrition-led living as part of the holistic care approach.Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Nutrition, Dietetics, Social Work, or related field (Master's preferred for nutrition).Certification or license as a Nutritionist / Dietitian in Malaysia is an advantage.3–5 years of experience in hospitality, customer service, healthcare, or senior-living environment.Hands-on cooking / menu planning experience is desirable.Strong knowledge of senior-specific needs (soft-textured diets, diabetic-friendly meals, low sodium).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with empathy and patience.Strong organizational and multi-tasking ability.What We Offer
