Responsibilities
The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and security of thepany's facility. This includes managing building systems, overseeing vendor relationships, handling security systems (CCTV and card access), managing fixed assets, and involve in assigned projects and operation readiness
The role also ensurespliance with safety regulations, implements emergency response protocols, and provides leadership and guidance to the facilities team.
Facilities Maintenance :
- Oversee daily facility operations, coordinating repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring safetypliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve facility issues as needed
- Coordinate with the building management on the upkeep of the building
Vendor & Contractor Management :
Manage vendor relationship and service contracts ( building, security, maintenance)Together with relevant stakeholders, manage vendor sourcing whenever requiredMonitor performance and ensure cost-effective servicesBudget Management :
Manage the facilities budget, track expenditures, and rmend cost-saving measuresCCTV & Security Systems :
Oversee CCTV system installation, maintenance, and monitoringManage access control systems to ensure secure building accessFixed Asset Management :
Track and maintain fixed assets, ensuring proper documentation, audits, and lifecycle management (acquisition to disposal)Project Management :
Lead and manage small renovation projects, including planning, vendor coordination, and budget managementEnsure projectpliance with safety and quality standardsHealth & Safetypliance :
Ensure the facility meets health, safety, and all relevant regulationsDevelop emergency response and regular training / announcements to increase OSH awarenessTeam Leader :
Providing leadership and guidance to the teamSetting up and updating processes (including process improvement initiatives) and ensuring the SOPs are followed by the team membersAll other responsibilities as seen appropriate
Job Requirements
Relevant education in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field is desired but notpulsoryDOSH certificate will be an advantage but not a requirement5+ years of experience in facilities management or a related fieldStrong knowledge of building systems, asset management, vendor management, and safety regulations in Admin and Facilities Management or relevant working experienceAny experience within property / facilities management of hospitals, shopping malls and / or condominiums will be ad advantageBasic understanding of Mechanical, Electrical and plumbing will be an advantageAbility to manage time and prioritiesContract negotiation / understanding and Vendor sourcingBe a part of UOB Family
