Job Description :
- Assist in leading, managing, and supervising operators in the daily operations of refining plants, fractionation plants, supporting plants, and tank farm, focusing on production, quality, food safety, RSPO, ESH & FSSC.
- Ensure sufficient competent manpower and resources for smooth plant operations and optimal plant utilization.
- Ensure production plants operate efficiently according to the production program or plan to meet customer needs through daily briefings with operators.
- Coordinate and implement weekly production programs / plans for all confirmed orders received.
- Manage scheduling and reporting of product and process development projects / trials.
- Monitor production plants to ensure they operate within standard process conditions and product qualities are within control limits. Report deviations to the HOD, QC, and Production Manager. Lead efforts to resolve quality issues promptly with minimal supervision.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Department for plant shutdowns for annual statutory inspections or planned maintenance, and conduct weekly meetings to resolve maintenance issues.
- Maintain good housekeeping and manufacturing practices in the plants.
- Investigate and rectify non-conformances or deviations related to process conditions, product quality, customer complaints, audit findings, etc., using proper root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for audits such as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, GCAD, PSQM, and HACCP.
- Ensure proper disposal of non-conforming products as recommended by HOD, QC, or Chemist.
- Ensure staff adhere to work procedures, company rules, and regulations. Conduct regular training to maintain compliance.
- Implement and manage duty rosters for plant operators.
- Verify plant reports and compile production-related reports with the support of clerks and executives.
- Lead and improve plant performance metrics such as KPI, ESH, CIP, RPI, production targets, and plant operation maximization.
- Prepare annual plans, including budgets (AOP, Mplan, Capex, Opex), for approval, with assistance from executives.
- Identify and evaluate new product development, facilities, technologies, and activities to support business objectives.
