Bahasa Melayu Teacher (National School)

Overview

We are looking for a Bahasa Melayu Teacher to join the National Primary school and help us take our learners to the next level in their learning. You may be asked to teach students from 3 years old to 11 years old. You must be experienced and knowledgeable about the teaching of our national language, and passionate about learning. You should be good at working with and inspiring your colleagues, our students and their parents.

About us

Tenby Schools Setia Eco Park, Kuala Lumpur campus is a large 3-18 school located on a green 20-acre site with excellent facilities and a welcoming, inclusive and stimulating place to work. We are a unique campus, home to Tenby International School, which consists of a Primary, and Secondary School (IPC, National Curriculum for England, CIE, IGCSE and A Level) and a Malaysian Private School, Sekolah Sri Tenby (Malaysian National Curriculum). The campus welcomes over 2000 students aged from 3 to 18 years and from 38 nationalities; with 1350 attending the international school, 600 in the primary school. We have accreditation’s including being the first school globally to gain full accreditation by the Council of International Schools (CIS) for both TIS and SST. We hold certificates for CIE, IPC, Microsoft, Duke of Edinburgh's Award and are one of 15 schools in Malaysia to hold the Green Flag Award.

Skills, qualifications and experience

• At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience is required.
• Preferably experience in teaching Primary National School.
• High level of proficiency in the subject knowledge and specification in the KSSM syllabus.
• Passionate about teaching & learning and familiar with teaching instructional strategies in the classroom.
• Able to manage student behavior positively.
• Willing to commit time and energy to continuous improvement.
• Responsible, reliable, trustworthy.
• Independent and proactive when faced with challenges.
• Excellent collaborator and team-player.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Able to manage high to moderate levels of stress.
