Job responsibilities and qualifications for an analog / mixed-signal design engineer within the product development team at Keysight Technologies.

Overview

As an expert engineer in analog circuit design, you will design and lead development in analog and mixed-signal hardware for Keysight test & measurement instruments. You will work closely with mechanical, software (application and embedded) engineers to optimize hardware system design for performance and quality at minimum cost.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop the overall analog system hardware architecture of an instrument.
  • Lead analog circuit design including power supplies, power distribution, analog signal conditioning, mixed-signal design, data conversion (ADC / DAC), sensor interfaces, PLLs, and analog filters.
  • Apply knowledge of feedback control systems and component characteristics to optimize designs.
  • Utilize circuit simulation tools (HSpice, PSpice, LTSpice, and / or Saber) for design simulation and verification.
  • Collaborate with HW, FPGA, SW, FW, and ME teams to define and optimize hardware systems for product performance and cost targets.
  • Develop and define instrument system architecture according to product specifications and scope.
  • Develop hardware design documents to promote consistent design practices and processes; refine and improve hardware design processes.
  • Lead and mentor the design team in system hardware and software integration and in meeting project milestones with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • PhD / Master / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of design experience in digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle and hardware / software system integration.
  • Advanced experience with EDA tools (e.g., LTSpice, PSpice, Saber) for design simulation and verification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-motivated with a drive to improve hardware design and processes.
  • Experience leading a design team on multiple projects.
  • Good organizational, planning, and communication skills; proficient written and spoken English.
