Petroleum Engineer

We also host a global business and technology center in Kuala Lumpur that provides high-level information technology and engineering expertise to ExxonMobil’s upstream, downstream and chemical businesses worldwide.

We are expanding our Production Engineering & Optimization team and looking for passionate individuals with an entrepreneurial mind‑set to drive change in our business, and who enjoy working in dynamic, collaborative, and diverse global teams.

Currently, we have multiple opportunities for experienced Production Engineers with between 5 to 15 years’ experience to join our team. The role is based in Kuala Lumpur and you will work very closely with our global Technical and Operation teams to support ExxonMobil’s global portfolio of Deepwater, Conventional, Unconventional and LNG assets.

What you will do

• Collaborate with engineers and operators on global teams to analyze well / field performance and advise on production optimization.
• Integrate with adjacent disciplines (Reservoir, Facilities or Process, Wells, Operations, Flow Assurance) to execute opportunities for production debottlenecking, production enhancement and idle well restoration.
• Support Operation teams for operations schedule optimization, capacity enhancement, production planning and downtime optimization.
• Conduct regular system surveillance for production and injection wells to identify optimization opportunities.
• Assess impact of identified system constraints, monitor, and troubleshoot facility balance at field / platform / well level.
• Conduct screening economic evaluations of well intervention and stimulation operations.
• Manage production data, measurement and allocation quality assurance.
• Build / sustain proprietary production engineering technology.
