About the job
- Develop and enforce the comprehensive legal strategy, providing oversight on risks related to revenue contracts, corporate services, and new ventures.
- Monitor and advise senior management on all relevant regulatory, legislative, and best practice changes and their impact on the business.
- Act as the primary liaison with key external legal bodies (Bursa Securities, SSM) and ensure all corporate secretarial submissions and disclosures are compliant.
- Lead and manage all company-related disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters, while providing day-to-day legal advice on business operations.
- Review, implement, and assure compliance of all internal policies, including HR-related documents, against local legal requirements.
- Lead and develop the internal Legal team, while actively collaborating with the broader Group structure to align with shareholder interests and strategic direction.
About the requirement
Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), admitted to the Malaysian BARMinimum of 10-15 years of professional working experience, including over 5 years as a practising lawyer and ideally extensive time as in-house legal counsel for a public listed company.Proven team leadership, strong communication, and sharp business acumen, with a focus on delivering results and developing people.Deep competence in Risk Management (standards, framework, and software) and knowledge of strategic topics like Governance, Decision Making, and Data Interpretation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
