Blockchain Investigation Specialist

About the Role :

Binance is looking for a Blockchain Investigation Specialist to join its Internal Audit team. The role focuses on forensic blockchain investigations , identifying internal fraud , suspicious activities , and ensuring the security and integrity of Binance’s operations across its digital asset platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct forensic analysis of blockchain transactions to detect suspicious activities , internal fraud , and financial misconduct .
• Identify and investigate fraud schemes including insider trading and unauthorized crypto transactions .
• Trace transactions, wallets, and smart contracts using blockchain analytics tools like Chainalysis, CipherTrace, Elliptic , or TRM Labs .
• Collaborate closely with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, and IT Security teams to develop actionable insights.
• Manage whistleblower cases related to blockchain matters with confidentiality and professionalism .
• Prepare and present investigation reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Stay updated on blockchain security trends , fraud methodologies , and emerging DeFi risks .

Qualifications & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Law , or related fields.
• 5+ years in forensic investigations, fraud detection, or internal audit , with at least 2 years focused specifically on blockchain investigations .
• Proficiency with blockchain analysis platforms (Chainalysis, CipherTrace, Elliptic, TRM Labs).
• Strong understanding of blockchain technology , smart contracts , DeFi , and the broader crypto ecosystem .
• Knowledge of AML / KYC and cybersecurity compliance in the digital asset space.
• Preferred Certifications :
• Certified Blockchain Security Professional (CBSP)
• Strong analytical skills , critical thinking , and professional integrity .
