Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Execution Engineer like you to bring expertise and oversight to our team in Malaysia. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in genset systems, local project execution experience, and the ability to manage complex engineering tasks in collaboration with regional and global teams.

Key Accountabilities

Technical Application Engineering for Diesel Genset Enclosures

  • Responsible for overseeing technical aspects of diesel genset enclosure solutions for projects in Malaysia and APAC, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
  • Support system integration at local genset enclosure factories and during site installation.
  • Provide technical guidance based on Malaysian and regional standards and engineering norms.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Collaborate closely with key customers to ensure satisfaction and technical alignment.
  • Act as a point of contact for technical resolution and escalation.
  • Order Execution – PSB Engineering

    Order Management

  • Manage handover from sales and coordinate with Project Manager on delivery of technical scope.
  • Ensure delivery of project-specific technical documents (e.g., drawings, manuals) and customer integration.
  • Supervise installation and ensure compliance with technical specifications and standards.
  • Supplier and Stakeholder Coordination

  • Establish and manage relationships with local suppliers and contractors.
  • Review technical drawings and documentation from suppliers.
  • Raise purchase requisitions and manage order fulfillment in line with project timelines and customer needs.
  • Problem Solving and Cost Management

  • Support Project Manager in aligning technical solutions with budget expectations.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, considering cost, lead time, and feasibility.
  • Support quality engineer in root cause analysis and resolution of execution issues.
  • Knowledge Sharing and Training

  • Conduct technical presentations and trainings for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on relevant local and international standards for diesel genset projects.
  • Internal Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with the APAC hub and global engineering teams.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and share lessons learned to improve future executions.
  • Implement best practices and continuous improvement strategies in technical project delivery.
  • Other Responsibilities

  • Travel across APAC, as required, for site supervision, customer engagement, and supplier management.
  • Stay updated on market developments and product innovations.
  • Undertake special assignments as required.
  • Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in diesel engine / generator set engineering, with enclosure solution development.
  • Hands-on experience in engineering project management, site installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems for gensets and enclosure design.
  • Familiarity with switchgear and electrical power protection systems is advantageous.
  • Experience working within APAC; knowledge of Malaysian regulations is a plus.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel within APAC as needed.
