Position Overview

The Associate Director, Business Infrastructure, Wealth & Fund Management, will be responsible for providing business oversight, driving product development, managing operations, and leading system and process enhancements to support the growth of Wealth Management (WM) and Investment Management (IM). This role requires strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to align business strategies with client demands, market opportunities, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide business and operational oversight across Wealth Management (WM) and Investment Management (IM).
  • Drive product development and distribution across asset classes, including Unit Trusts, Bonds, Equities, Structured Products, Money Market instruments, and Private Mandates.
  • Support the rollout of new investment products in collaboration with product and distribution teams.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that directly contribute to business growth and competitiveness.
  • Ensure alignment of business strategy with client demand, regulatory environment, and market opportunities.
  • Oversee daily operational activities across WM and IM.
  • Establish and maintain robust operational controls, standardization, and automation to support scalability, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Act as liaison for internal audit, compliance, and risk management assessments.
  • Identify process gaps, optimize workflows, and implement system / automation solutions to improve service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including sales advisors, product teams (local and regional), fund houses, brokers, custodians, insurers, and platform partners.
  • Align cross-functional interests to ensure smooth client delivery and operational excellence.
  • Partner with regional teams to harmonize practices and leverage synergies across markets.
  • Enhance front-office systems and digital tools to boost advisor productivity and client experience.
  • Lead the design and development of unified digital platforms that allow clients and advisors to seamlessly manage investment assets across WM and IM.
  • Define business requirements, user journeys, and technology roadmaps in collaboration with IT and product teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 10–12 years of relevant experience in Wealth Management, Investment Management, or Financial Services, with at least 5 years in a leadership / management role.
  • Proven track record in product development, operational management, and system / process enhancement within financial institutions.
  • Experience working with regulators (e.g., SC, BNM, FIMM) and handling compliance / risk assessments.
  • Strong exposure to cross-functional collaboration and managing external vendor / partner relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of investment products (Unit Trusts, Bonds, Equities, Structured Products, Money Market, Private Mandates).
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align strategy to client and market needs.
  • Excellent project management and change management skills.
  • Proficient in leveraging technology / digital platforms to improve client and advisor experience.
  • Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and drive execution in a fast‑paced environment.
