Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics or a related discipline
  • PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification
  • Minimum of two years’ teaching experience at secondary level

Essential Skills

  • Proven expertise in teaching A-Level Economics and familiarity with current examination specifications
  • Strong subject knowledge across microeconomics, macroeconomics, and applied economics with the ability to explain complex concepts accessibly
  • Experience preparing students for A-Level examinations and standardised assessments
  • Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an engaging, intellectually stimulating learning environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, colleagues, and parents
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and support students of varying abilities and aspirations
  • Enthusiasm for connecting economic theory to contemporary real-world examples and current affairs
  • Commitment to developing students’ analytical and evaluative skills
