SAFETY & HEALT OFFICER

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and leadership to employees on various safety-related topics under the direction of management.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
• Assist in workplace inspections, with regular walkthroughs and assessments conducted by the safety and health committee.
• Intervene, rectify, and report unsafe acts, conditions, violations, and potential violations of OSH regulations.
• Ensure safety compliance in Permit to Work (PTW) and other work activities.
• Verify workers' adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) for work activities.
• Support management in implementing OSH plans and coordinating activities aimed at protecting and safeguarding company assets, employees, and others.
• Participate in OSH meetings, inspections, audits, drills, exercises, and investigations.
• Support the implementation of OSH objectives and improvement plans.
• Liaise with government departments regarding Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) matters.
• Undertake any ad hoc tasks assigned by management.
