The opportunity The Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team works with businesses and finance teams to address risks of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory issues. FAAS teams serve as trusted advisors to help clients navigate through accounting and financial reporting challenges driven by the changing economic and regulatory environment. Your key responsibilities : As a FAAS Senior Associate, you will support FAAS executives in building and maintaining relationships with clients and other service lines in EY. You will assist in planning and executing projects and play a key role in delivering services to clients. We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our team in executing assignments related to : Finance process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Audit or audit remediation to improve the quality and timeliness of financial reporting Adoption of new accounting standards to drive compliance to reporting requirements Key responsibilities include : Perform review and analysis to identify improvement opportunities related to finance processes, automation, controls, and governance Leverage analytical or digital techniques to perform analysis and drive value Assess the requirements of accounting standards and implementation considerations for clients Contribute to project delivery and business development activities Engage with client personnel and deliver quality work products and client services Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks Skills and attributes for success Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong drive to excel professionally and guide and motivate others Advanced written and verbal communication skills Dedicated, innovative, resourceful, and able to work under pressure To qualify for the role you must have A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Minimum of three years of work experience in a professional services environment Ideally, you’ll also have Completed professional accounting papers (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW) Possess accounting technical capabilities and competency related to process improvement Knowledge of new developments in financial accounting and advisory services What we offer A competitive remuneration package, support, coaching, and feedback from colleagues, opportunities to develop new skills, and the freedom to handle your role in a way that is right for you.
