PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This role is responsible to ensure full business / reporting compliance and to ensure monthly reporting is accurate and timely to the country management and regional finance team; to develop financial reporting to support the business and to manage budgeting and forecasting processes as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. He / she is involved in various financial related activities to develop strategies and plans, all of which help the organization meet its financial needs.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
FINANCE CONTROLLING AND BUSINESS PLANNER
- Business partnering with Country Manager, Business Unit Manager and other team members to manage and develop business financial KPI.
- Provide financial analysis and advice on profit-maximizing recommendations, this may include developing strategic business plan and annual business plan together with his / her Country Manager.
- Responsible for yearly and monthly forecast and budget to corporate finance.
- Provide actual cost for Business Units, and track budget and forecast vs actual to achieve company objectives.
- Consolidate, analyse, interpret and prepare financial reports for company management decision making.
- Propose appropriate action plans in line with management strategic directives when necessary.
- Support business on trade purchase, remittance, and target achievements.
- Handle all contracts and agreements to maximize company benefits and identify cost saving opportunities.
ACCOUNTING
Responsible and oversee full set of accounts including monthly and annual reporting accordance to corporate policy and requirements as well as local GAAP and IFRS.Apply and monitor tax allowances and incentive award to achieve income tax optimization.Manage accounts receivables to ensure healthy company cash flow.Oversee the logistic function, ensure better purchase forecast, optimize inventory holding and minimise incidents of back-orders. In change of consignment stock processes : ensure stock quantity aligns with system, PO collection is up to date, stock replenishments are done on time.Ensure revenue and inventory are accurately recognized and captured. manage short expiry products to minimize scarp, ensure product destruction process according to local requirements.In charge of payroll processing and payroll related statutory submissions to authority.Handle annual return on corporate income tax, VAT and WHT.Oversea Transfer Pricing (TP) policy and ensure TP policy comply to local regulationsResponsible for annual statutory audit and tax returns.Collaborate with external legal consultant on any legal matters required by the Company.Work with banks for all business-related banking requirements.Always implement and ensure compliance of company standard operating proceduresGuide and advice team members on company policy, processes, and ensure compliance to Group Financial Guidelines and Directives, tax, audit and other regulatory requirements.Any financial-related ad-hoc projects to improve efficiency and productivity.Ensure strict compliance with Company worldwide financial policies and Business Conduct procedures.Drive a culture of financial accountability and ethical conduct throughout the organization.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant bachelor’s degree in accountancy or equivalent professional certificationMember of Chartered Accountant is preferredMinimum 10 years of commercial accounting work experienceKnowledge of the IFRS, accounting and taxation legislations and practices.Comprehensive in PC skills / IT literacy skills in particular, MS ExcelStrong written and verbal skills in English languageAbility to lead a teamExcellent interpersonal skillsHighly engagedExperienced in SAP B1 is a plus pointHaving experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry is an added advantage
