What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales of Industrial Steam Turbine by building strong relationships with key decision makers, leading bidding discussions, and ensuring high-quality proposals to achieve targets.
  • Direct customer engagement, manage proposals, and obtain management approvals (LoA’s).
  • Lead discussions throughout the bidding phase including clarifications, negotiations until contract closure.
  • Work closely with Business Development and other Business Areas of Siemens Energy.
  • Take forward ISP Growth Initiatives (FPSO, Extended scope, WtE, Replacement, SST 300 / 200 PD).
  • Ensure that Technical and Commercial proposals meet Siemens Energy standards for quality, completeness, and timeliness in response to client inquiries.
  • Build the project pipeline and develop the rolling forecast process for responsible countries in consultation with Local / Field Sales (New Org Code – Hub Sales).
  • Timely and accurate updates to Salesforce and ensure processes (like LOA approvals) are in place as per guidelines.
  • Create conceptual solutions, develop unique selling propositions, and implement sales strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure project success (Cost Outs, Benchmarking, Vendor Development, Optimized solutions) within stipulated times.
  • Provide support to the Proposal community in case of manpower constraints to fulfill customer expectations and improve customer intimacy.

What You Bring

  • Tertiary qualification (Post-Graduation) in Engineering with proficiency in written and oral English.
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in the power generation business (commercial, project management, proposals, application or erection and commissioning), and contract negotiations (experience with power industry major products preferred – e.g., Steam Turbines, Boilers, Gas Turbines, Compressors, pumps, heat exchangers).
  • Advanced understanding of Thermal Cycle Process and process calculations is a significant advantage.
  • Sales experience in the focus country; South Korea would be given higher preference.
  • Setting high standards and monitoring progress toward goals; tenaciously working to meet or exceed goals; defining success by goal achievement and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of economic, market and industry trends to understand and improve levers that drive sustainable profitable growth.
  • Basic understanding of contracts and commercial terms to negotiate with customers at multiple levels.
  • Capable of working in a multinational and multicultural team; regional working experience is a strong asset.
