Role Overview

We are searching for an enthusiastic and committed Network and Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at HFM. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking concepts and practices, excellent knowledge of firewall management, and experience with scripting for network automation. A solid understanding of systems administration is also necessary. This role requires working closely with our IT Infrastructure team to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability of our network resources.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN), ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability to meet business needs.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewalls and use tools like Prometheus and PRTG to manage performance, enforce security policies, and prevent disruptions.
• Collaborate with systems and security teams to resolve connectivity issues, integrate servers, implement VPNs and access controls, and enhance cross‑platform network performance and security.
• Develop and maintain Bash and Python scripts for network automation, configuration management, and performance tuning.
• Maintain accurate network documentation (diagrams, configurations, incidents) and ensure compliance with standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) and company policies.
• Manage vendor coordination for hardware procurement, support, and inventory, and implement tested backup and recovery procedures to ensure network resilience.
• Provide first‑level incident response, conduct root‑cause analysis, and support additional tasks or projects as assigned.
