Head of Sales – Water Industry / Water Treatment

Location : Selangor, Malaysia

Employment Type : Full-Time

Language Requirement : Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential

About the Role

A global leader in industrial flow solutions and water technologies is seeking a dynamic Head of Sales to drive business growth and strengthen market presence across Malaysia’s water and wastewater treatment industry .

This is a strategic leadership role suited for a commercially driven individual with a strong technical understanding of water systems, piping solutions, and treatment applications. The ideal candidate will lead the national sales organization, shape go-to-market strategies, and build lasting partnerships across municipal, industrial, and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the sales strategy for the Malaysian market, aligning with regional growth objectives and industry trends.
  • Manage, mentor, and motivate the national sales team to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the water and wastewater treatment sectors , including municipal utilities, EPC contractors, and industrial users.
  • Drive key account management and establish strong relationships with strategic customers, distributors, and channel partners.
  • Oversee tender preparation, technical proposals, and contract negotiations to ensure profitable and sustainable business.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, operations, and technical teams to deliver integrated, value-based customer solutions.
  • Conduct market analysis, track competitor activity, and provide strategic insights to senior management.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and HSE requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration , or related fields.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of sales leadership experience within the water, wastewater, or industrial engineering sectors.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and managing key accounts in a technical or industrial environment.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset and the ability to execute at both tactical and operational levels.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is mandatory due to key customer and internal stakeholder engagement.
