Job Description : Sales Manager (FMCG – Oral Care) – Malaysia

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales operations in Malaysia . The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, strengthening distribution channels, and driving revenue growth in both modern and traditional trade segments of the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Market Growth
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Expand market coverage across traditional trade, modern trade, pharmacies, and e-commerce channels in Malaysia.
  • Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and key accounts to increase brand visibility and penetration.

Distributor & Channel Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers nationwide.
  • Negotiate trade terms, ensure proper product placement, visibility, and availability across all channels.
  • Monitor and manage distributor performance to maximize sales efficiency.
  • Brand & Trade Marketing Support

  • Work closely with the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns, trade activations, and brand-building activities.
  • Ensure trade marketing materials, POSMs, and promotional plans are effectively deployed at store level.
  • Team Leadership

  • Recruit, lead, and motivate the sales team to achieve KPIs.
  • Provide training, coaching, and regular performance reviews.
  • Market Insights & Reporting

  • Analyze sales data, competitor activities, and market trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and strategies.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–10 years of proven FMCG sales experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysia's FMCG landscape, especially oral care or personal care categories.
  • Experience managing distributors, retail chains, and pharmacy channels.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in sales systems, CRM, and MS Office.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin / Tamil is an added advantage).
