Job descriptionDiploma / Degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, Furniture Technology, or related fields. Strong proficiency in technical drawing software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent). Hands-on experience with supplier management and product quality control. Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills in English, Malay and Mandarin (to liaise with suppliers). Previous experience in the furniture, interiors, or manufacturing sector. Knowledge of materials, finishes, and production techniques. A keen sense of design trends and product innovation. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Design Executive to join our team. This role is central to ensuring product excellence—from supplier and specification verification to quality checks and catalogue preparation. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, technical drawing ability, and hands-on experience in supplier engagement and product development within the furniture or related industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly visits to new and existing suppliers to evaluate capabilities, materials, and production processes.
- Develop and verify product specifications for both new enquiries and confirmed orders.
- Prepare technical drawings and product documentation to support order accuracy and client requirements.
- Oversee quality control for prototypes and conduct progress inspections throughout the production cycle.
- Explore and assess new product opportunities, preparing shortlisted items for catalogue submission.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align supplier capabilities and product standards with company objectives.
