Lead the end-to-end sourcing process, including the identification and evaluation of new local and overseas suppliers to secure competitive advantages and the best commercial outcome for the organisation in product quality, value, and fulfilment.
Conduct market intelligence on price trends, supply availability, and competitive landscapes to inform and execute effective pricing negotiation strategies .
Proactively manage and reduce product costs and improve overall profitability through strategic negotiation of procurement terms, including increasing Accounts Payable to optimise working capital .
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Develop and implement the replenishment strategy for all assigned products to ensure optimal stock levels and maximum sales conversion while minimising inventory holding costs.
Utilise the Materials Replenishment Planning (MRP) system and related tools to accurately forecast demand and execute purchase orders that align inventory with sales forecasts.
Oversee critical inbound logistics, transportation, and delivery operations, ensuring timely, cost-effective shipments, full compliance with Duty-Free regulations , and maintaining stock accuracy.
Monitor stock availability and lead times, proactively alerting commercial and operations teams to potential supply chain risks or non-compliance issues.
Establish and maintain robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) , fostering strategic partnerships that support business growth and secure long-term supply stability.
Conduct regular evaluations of supplier performance, focusing on quality standards, on-time delivery, and adherence to agreed-upon commercial terms.
Support the commercialisation of new products from initial concept through to market launch, ensuring timely sourcing and procurement of launch stock.
Generate rigorous analytical reports, including cost-benefit analysis , comparative category analysis, and supplier performance metrics for senior management review.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as a Purchasing or Procurement Executive, preferably within the Duty-Free retail sector or a fast-paced retail environment.
Demonstrated expertise in the Beauty, Cosmetics, Confectionery, or FMCG categories is highly advantageous.
Proven knowledge of import / export procedures , international logistics (transportation, warehousing, and forwarding), and relevant customs documentation.
Exceptional sourcing, negotiation, and influencing skills .
Strong financial acumen and rigorous data analysis capability to assess total cost of ownership and working capital impact.
Highly organised, detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage complex contracts and documentation.
Solid problem-solving abilities and effective cross-functional communication skills.
