Job descriptionSupport execution of the interface management plan for internal and external interfaces. Assist in interface management practices to improve information flow across project teams and external contractors. Communicate with Contractors to develop their Interface Management deliverables and review / endorse contractors' interface plans and procedures. Keep the Project Manager informed of interface matters that could affect project objectives. Support scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of interface meetings or workshops. Form relationships with PETRONAS counterparts, JV partners, contractors and vendors to ensure smooth approvals. Support regular project risk reviews and ensuring that construction-related items and mitigations on the risk register are monitored. Assist with monitoring contractor progress reports to ensure alignment with cost and time schedules. Participate in review of contractor progress to facilitate planning of cost and time schedules to meet requirements. Ensure timely issue of accurate project progress reports to keep the internal management team informed of project performance. Assist with review of contractor man-hour estimates and invoicing. Support input to Approval of Expenditure (AFE) to enable project commencement. Assist in balancing priorities within the discipline engineering teams and with contractor teams. Participate in demonstrating client leadership with contractors. Provide input to continuous improvement of project engineering activities and practices. A Degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 3.50 CGPA. Broad-based engineering skills. General and project management skills, good communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Overview
Junior Project Engineer role at Mubadala Energy. This role provides support for technical coordination with internal stakeholders (discipline engineers, HODs, AD SME, etc.) and is initially based in the KL office with potential transition to a site role at Construction / Fabrication centres. The role will be under close supervision by a Senior Project Engineer who will mentor and guide the employee.

Key Accountabilities
Health, Safety, Security & Environment
- Support contractor compliance with the HSSE aspects of project engineering procedures.
- Demonstrate commitment to MP’s HSSE goals and culture.
- Perform day-to-day checks on compliance with the basis of design.
- Support the administration of policies and procedures across all disciplines to ensure that engineering design deliverables are optimized, accurate, and efficient.
- Support audit of policies and standards compliance to ensure designs meet project specifications.
- Assist project engineering leadership and input into planning and preparation of contract scopes of work.
- Coordinate collation and review of contractor responses and deliverables for project engineering aspects.
- Coordinate interactions between discipline engineering functions within design, fabrication, installation, operations, and maintenance activities.
- Assist incorporation of HSSE-related study recommendations into engineering deliverables.
- Provide aid to the Project Controls Manager for cost and planning management.
- Provide aid to construction and commissioning teams related to project engineering issues.
- Refer to project engineering frameworks to support delivery through the ME Stage Gate Process.
- Coordinate the discipline engineering team to deliver objectives meeting integrity, cost and schedule targets.
