Job description

A global engineering, infrastructure, and project management consulting firm, offers services in sectors such as buildings, transportation, water, environment, and energy. The firm provides engineering services, including structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering, as well as project management and consultancy services for infrastructure and construction projects. It has a strong presence in Asia and has been involved in numerous high-profile projects worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare concept and sketch designs, and present / seek approval of Team Leader before progressing to the next stage.
  • Formalize standards for specifications, drawings etc. in conjunction with Team Leader.
  • Attend design / site meetings.
  • Resolve any technical problems faced during the project design and / or construction stages.
  • Handle all correspondence including reports, technical specifications, and other documents relating to the projects.
  • Prepare and monitor cost and quantity estimates (assist for clarifications only).
  • Able to lead projects with a team of engineers / technicians under their charge.
  • Fully familiar with coded and local Authority requirements.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Team Leader / Division Manager.

Experience

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by Professional Engineering Board. Master’s degree in building services engineering or equivalent will also be considered.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in design consultancy within the MEP consultancy field.
  • Ability to communicate / articulate well in English and able to present design ideas, and report to stakeholders independently
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and effective team player skills.
