Job Description - AVP, Investigation Unit )

The Role

  • Lead and manages Investigation team to ensure cases suspicion of non-disclosure or pre-existing conditions are investigated fairly, thoroughly and promptly following agreed timeline.
  • Establish and perform on-going review on investigation guidelines, standard operating procedures and processes to ensure consistency in practice and process efficiency.
  • Establish rapport with hospitals medical record team in ensuring medical reports are furnished to the Company on a timely basis.
  • Ensure delivery of investigation cases outsourced by GETB following agreed SLA.
  • To review, establish, maintain and update investigative processes in SOP.
  • To ensure investigated cases are reviewed / finalized with decision within set TAT from complete documentation.
  • To monitor and review Investigative Pending cases to ensure that the process is on track and that these cases are finalized within the set TAT.
  • To review investigation process for continuous improvement.
  • To attend to any other tasks assigned from time to time.
  • Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
  • Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
  • Highlights any potential concerns / risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
  • Other responsibilities entailed.

The Person

  • Possesses a Bachelor Degree in any fields, preferably healthcare related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years working experience as claims assessor or equivalent and at least 5 years working experience in supervisory capacity.
  • Good management, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Have the right attitude for hard work and able to produce high quality work under pressure.
  • High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
  • Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
