Head of Network Solutions role at Maxis in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Head of Network Solutions is responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the ICT business, overseeing strategy development, market execution, product innovation, and P&L performance. This leadership role requires deep ICT industry expertise to ensure that Product and Solutions teams deliver cutting-edge, competitive ICT solutions for enterprise customers. The role also champions the development of ICT capabilities across the organization, fostering internal adoption, best practices, operational excellence, and innovation to position the company as a leading ICT provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line of Business Leadership : Develop and execute a long-term ICT strategy focused on revenue growth, profitability, and market leadership.
  • Lead Product Management, Solution Sales and Solution Architects teams, ensuring cross-functional collaboration.
  • Drive customer-centric innovations and identify opportunities to introduce cutting-edge ICT solutions.
  • Engage with C-level executives to shape ICT solution positioning and influence investment decisions.
  • Product & Solution Management : Oversee the ICT product portfolio to ensure solutions remain competitive, scalable, and aligned with customer demands.
  • Drive innovation with understanding of customer needs, market trends, regulatory landscapes, and new business opportunities.
  • Guide Product Managers in value proposition development, product roadmaps, and service creation for ICT products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion and readiness of new innovations for market.
  • Form strategic partnerships to enhance solution portfolios and value propositions.
  • Customer Engagement & Deal Execution : Partner with sales and account teams to drive enterprise engagements and upselling opportunities.
  • Guide Solution Sales Specialists and Solution Architects to ensure the right solution and the right offer.
  • Lead customer consultations and workshops, positioning ICT solutions as business transformation enablers.
  • Market & Industry Expertise : Stay ahead of ICT trends (cloud, AI, cybersecurity, SD-WAN, 5G, IoT) and monitor the competitive landscape.
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management : Work with Sales, Finance, Product, and technical teams to ensure seamless execution of ICT solutions; lead engagements with customers, technology partners, and industry stakeholders; present insights and strategies to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience : Minimum 10–12 years in ICT business leadership, product and solution management, and enterprise customer engagement; proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving strategic growth.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Deep understanding of ICT technologies including cloud, AI, cybersecurity, SD-WAN, 5G, and IoT.
  • Expertise in product lifecycle management, solution sales, and customer-centric innovation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with C-level executives.
  • Ability to lead complex deal execution and influence investment decisions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and competitive ICT landscapes.
