Responsibilities

- Student Assessment : Create and evaluate examinations, assignments, and projects to gauge student knowledge and skills, providing constructive feedback.
- Research Contribution : Conduct and publish impactful research in the LIS field and supervise student research projects and theses.
- Professional Development : Stay current with technological advancements and Pedagogical strategies through continued education and active participation in academic communities.
- Community and Industry Engagement : Collaborate with industry experts to ensure curriculum relevance and foster opportunities for student placements.
- Mentorship : Offer academic advice and personal mentorship to students, guiding them toward academic and professional success.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in any field from a recognized university; Doctorate (PhD) and Master’s in Library and Information Science from a recognized university.Malaysian applicants are welcome to apply.A strong foundation and knowledge in computing.Proficiency or specialization in relevant areas and excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.A strong track record of published research and active participation in the academic community.Minimum Competencies
A blend of academic qualifications, teaching abilities, research skills, and personal attributes.Prior experience in teaching and research in the higher education sector is an added advantage.Other Requirements

For Malaysian citizens : Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4.
