  • Position Summary

  • Uphold VM standards of all brands / stores in accordance with brand guidelines (flex and adapt to local business needs).
  • Control expenditures and be prudent in VM spending (always look out for new suppliers to bring cost down without compromising on quality and speed).
  • Report quarterly expenses for all brands in the region.
  • Lead, train and develop VM talents.
  • Articulate company’s strategy / vision – as HOD, set department goals for the team to achieve best in class results and lead the thinking with collaborations from all support functions.
  • Key Areas of Responsibilities

    VM Planning and Development

  • Elevate visual presentation in all stores while driving consistency in both VSFA & VSBA.
  • Obtain and translate local insights into commercialized VM plans.
  • Plan and drive special VM Projects to grow targeted categories (ie : Fine Fragrances, Sleep and T-shirt Bras).
  • Collaborate closely with designer (marketing team based in Regional office), country VM Managers and Field Leaders for seasonal window, marketing signages order, mapping planning, event and pop up store etc.
  • Review each seasonal brand guide and liaise with allocator to ascertain new stocks availability (and review existing stocks level) for each Beauty / Acc / Panties launches, propose ideas when necessary if there is any inventory challenge prior launch date.
  • Ensure country VM Managers have seasonal VM elements delivered to store on time for new launch.
  • VM Management and Implementation

  • Ensure Visual merchandising needs are fully executed in a timely basis.
  • Key responsibility of maintaining VM standards for all stores at all times with the support from country VM Managers and Field Leaders.
  • Plan and guide country VM Managers by sharing regular floor set planning tools / brand guide / VM updates for mapping exercise.
  • Review mapping received from country VM Managers and align with VS Brand Team.
  • Conduct Regional VM calls / Virtual Store Walk calls to understand upcoming floorsets and meet the brand’s directive for consistency across all stores while ensuring local business insights are accounted for.
  • Review new launch photo shared regionally through individual WhatsApp group with the support from country VM Managers and Field Leaders.
  • Conduct weekly store visit with VM Managers to coach and develop them via consistent feedback and followups.
  • Lead and review money mapping activities with country VM Managers to ensure every store is maximizing category sales opportunities.
  • VM Budget Control and Accountability

  • Control / plan / provide direction for regional seasonal / promotional marketing collateral order (printing) & VM element budgets within forecasted annual budget.
  • Managing and tracking of regional annual / seasonal window / marketing signages spending.
  • Consistent quarterly visits to warehouse for VM elements to align with distribution team for VM element storage, recycling or disposal.
  • Reports

  • Ensure VM photos are compiled and shared for each floorset on the day of launch.
  • Provide information for any other reports as and when required.
  • Key Requirements

  • A degree in Visual Communications, Design, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in Visual Merchandising, with a substantial history of working within the Fashion, Beauty, and Fragrance retail sectors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder and interpersonal skills necessary to lead a team, influence cross-functional partners, and collaborate with senior leadership.
  • Strategic self-reliance with a proven ability to manage complex projects autonomously and drive team performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex visual concepts clearly and compellingly.
  • A professional and engaging presence capable of representing the brand effectively.
  • High proficiency in relevant computer skills and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, planning software).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Proficiency in additional languages is highly beneficial.
