Accounts Payable Assistant Manager
A PLC Construction Company is Looking for an AP Assistant Manager to Join its Business (based in PJ) Your new company
This company is a public-listed construction company specialising in the renewable energy sector. With an expansion to the company, the company is looking for an Assistant Manager.
Your new role
Playing a pivotal role in the company, you will be in charge of :
- Lead the Accounts Payable (AP) team, improving current workflows and payment processes.
- Oversee daily AP activities, including invoice posting, mailbox management, invoice quality checks, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve payment issues and take appropriate actions for payment proposals.
- Work closely with the Treasury team to discuss current cash flow, trade financing transactions, and loan settlements.
- Perform monthly closing tasks, ensuring timely creation of vendor payment proposals and vouchers according to the payment calendar.
- Monitor monthly vendor reconciliations and follow up on any pending actions with relevant teams.
- Provide accurate and timely information to support the Project Accounting team, as well as external and internal audits.
- Review Accounts Payable ageing reports and address any pending actions to clear aged items.
- Support ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management, or equivalent professional qualification.Proficiency in AutoCount accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and construction accounting knowledge (advantageous).At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting or accounts payable.Language Proficiency : English, Malay, Mandarin (advantageous).Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
