The Network Security Pillar Lead role combines engineering expertise with strategic responsibilities. This key position oversees the domain, including engineering operations, business‑as‑usual (BAU) activities, break‑fix support, network security related incidents and involvement in projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily engineering and operational activities for network security platforms, as well as manage the L1, L2, and L3 teams.
- Ensure continuous monitoring and timely response to security / operation alerts escalated from the Next Gen Security Operations Center (NSOC).
- Act as the primary escalation point for network‑related security incidents. Manage break‑fix activities and coordinate with vendors for timely resolution of technical issues.
- Develop, review and maintain first responder playbooks and network security standard operation procedure.
- Participate in network security projects, including onboarding new security solutions and implementing upgrades.
- Collaborate with risk and compliance teams during audits and security assessments.
- Work closely with Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) to operate and maintain network security platforms.
- Review service level agreements and ensure vendor performance meets organizational standards.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging threats to recommend enhancements to network security posture.
We are looking for people who
Possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably at a Senior Executive level in IT or Computer‑related roles.Intermediate‑level experience in managing cybersecurity alerts and incident handling. Solid understanding of Incident Response processes and investigative methodologies.Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.Maintains a continuous learning mindset, demonstrating curiosity and commitment to personal and professional growth.Demonstrates a high level of integrity, takes full accountability for work, and maintains a positive attitude toward teamwork.Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and adaptable to embrace new changes effectively.Optional : holding IT or IT Security certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent.How you succeed
