Responsibilities

  • Deliver individual and group counselling sessions to support students with academic, career, and personal challenges.
  • Promote counselling and mental health support services to enhance overall student well‑being and engagement.
  • Conduct career guidance and psychological assessments as needed to facilitate informed decision‑making.
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate student development workshops, seminars, and wellness programs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of counselling records and prepare detailed, accurate progress reports.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during urgent situations.
  • Assist with administrative tasks within the Student Services Department.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Counselling, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Registered & Certified Counsellor with Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM).
  • 1–2 years of relevant counselling experience in the education sector.
  • Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural and international backgrounds.
  • High emotional intelligence, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven planning, observation, time management, and organizational abilities.
