The Role
SJIIS seeks an outstanding Music Teacher to inspire students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) and to lead the school’s vibrant co‑curricular music programme. The successful candidate will teach music, develop the IGCSE curriculum, and manage the school’s ensembles and musical events.
Responsibilities
- Teach music to KS3-KS4 students and prepare them for IGCSE examinations.
- Manage the peripatetic music programme and direct major school ensembles (orchestras, bands, choirs).
- Organise and coordinate school‑wide musical performances and events.
- Promote the Lasallian Mission and Core Values of SJIIS.
- Plan, prepare, record, assess, and report on pupils’ progress in accordance with school expectations.
- Contribute to wider school development, particularly in the Arts.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to professional development and curriculum knowledge (IGCSE experience desirable).
